I was really sad when I heard Lhasa died. She was such a modern drifter. She really died too early. Then again, she's done TONS in her life. And while I haven't travelled as much as her, I hope that by the time I die, I will have matched up the expectations of that song.

First of all, Stina has a really depressing voice. But most of her song are about being dumped. And I can relate to 100% of their content. But this one is particularly harsh because it could be intimate love, or familial love. It's just more sad than most songs.

The first option is a cover of an Edith Piaf song about a prostitute who has a glimpse of the sweet life until her boyfriend/john notices that she isn't that pretty in the daylight and he dumps her. I think musicians in Paris kinda live in this fear at all times. The other song is about two lovers who have terrible taste in everything so they're worried when they pick each other as lovers. It's quirky and it features Feist!

It's kinda a song about the maybe's of the future. It would be interesting if someone would get this 100 years later. I also love her mix of percussion and cello and her spooky voice.
Such a wonderful mix. It wraps you in and gets you moving. I think everything on her most recent album is very entrancing. Almost dangerous for someone like me!
«Golden Phone» or «Floor» by Micachu. I think this girl's a genius. She does everything herself and the lyrics are smart and witty and they aren't all about heartbreak.
