Lloyd Cole
is one of the most significant British songwriters of the 80’s and 90’s. He recorded four unprecedented albums with his band The Commotions between 1982 and 1989 before he started his solo career in 1990 with the help of Lou Reed in New York. That’s also where he improved his golf handicap up to 5.3, making him – according to Golf Digest – the No. 11 of golf playing musicians – a tie with his good buddy Alice Cooper.

I don't know which one it was, but things were good when «Raspberry Beret» by Prince & The Revolution came out.
I don’t go to clubs very often, but I used to like to dance to Chic. I love them! After punk rock got boring (quite soon so...) Chic, Funkadelic, lots on Stax Records and Isaac Hayes were my thing. Still are, really. I played «Le Freak» after all my shows last year. I think the audience thought it was a mistake.
