played the keyboards and guitar for Ian Dury & The Blockheads. During his solo career he proved that it was him who brought the funk into The Blockheads’ music. His solo hits «Ai No Corrrida» and «Glad To Know You» are timeless disco classics. Neo-Disco labels Bearfunk and Tirk got Jankel back into limelight and are steadily releasing new music by the now almost 60 years old.
